MM6 Maison Margiela and Salomon unveil a new chapter in their ongoing collaboration with the AW25 collection—a modular system of dress that blurs the lines between performance wear and fashion, outdoor function and urban instinct. At the core is the Waterproof Down Parka, where Salomon’s outdoor heritage intersects with MM6’s progressive aesthetic. Its down-filled, fully waterproof shell with sealed seams and an adjustable hood is offset by elongated double-slider pockets, a numeric tag print, and MM6’s signature horizontal white stitch line—lending a subtle edge to an outerwear essential.
A restrained study in duality, the Reversible Insulated Jacket shifts between two contrasting surfaces: quilted graphic padding with a discreet chest logo on one side; smooth and minimal with a bold MM6 back numeric logo on the other. The half-zip pullover anorak, complete with a kangaroo pocket lifted from hoodie archetypes, subtly alters its character depending on how it’s worn—a single form articulated in two distinct registers. Elsewhere, the Motomesh LS revisits the early-2000s Motomesh crewneck, reimagined with long sleeves and MM6’s hallmark oversized fit. The iconic Salomon link logo returns as a debossed chest motif—familiar, reframed. Its counterpart, the Motomesh Pants, reworks the same stretch mesh into wide-leg trousers—recasting a technical fabric through MM6’s quietly radical lens on volume and fit.

Rounding out the capsule is the High Neck—a warm, breathable fleece reimagined with an exaggerated high neckline and offbeat proportions. Cozy yet unconventional, it merges comfort with MM6’s instinct for distortion. Crafted as a day-to-night, all-gender wardrobe for the layered realities of contemporary life, the collection blends attitude and distinctive details in a restrained palette of Deep Black, Abbey Stone, and Oatmeal Heather—tones that evoke technical precision and sharp urban character. Punctuating the silhouettes are the XT-MM6, offered in three colorways: tonal off-white with black detailing and logos, or black styles accented with bold silver or vivid red to emphasize their engineered construction. The ACS PRO appears in two iterations—one in all-white with gradient gray accents across the upper and sole, the other in a bold yellow and black combination, introducing a high-visibility edge to the silhouette.
In the accompanying campaign, models are captured mid-stride, mid-sentence, mid-interview in city streets, parks, and undefined spaces, dressed in looks from the collection. Styling and dialogue heighten the tension between fashion and mountain sport, while fragmented, sports-media-like footage shifts the mood from post-race exhilaration to a behind-the-scenes fashion week vibe—direct yet disjointed, familiar yet slightly out of place.
The MM6 Maison Margiela x SALOMON AW25 capsule will be available from October 16th, 2025, on MM6 and Salomon e-commerce platforms, the brands’ boutiques, and select multibrand retailers.
